Talking Watch myself? Better "watch yourself!"

Watch Yourself!
Description: Party members near you gain +20 armor for 5-10 seconds.
Energy Cost: None.
Activation Time: None.
Recharge Time: 4 Adrenaline.
Linked Attribute: Tactics. Increases duration.
Skill Type: Shout.

I loved this thing for the FPE

1 its a shout so you can use critical eye along with it

2 its easy to gain 4 adrenaline with an assassin

3 90 armor for a large amount of time as long as you are attacking is pretty cool

4 it helps your teammates around you

5 It's just plain cool

My a/w for PVe will defiantly incorporate this and many tactic things, as if you would combine this with shadow refudge, healing signet you would get

-mass amount of heal, as long as not interupt
-you would take 25% less damage than normal even with healing signet thrown in

-very survivable
-good energy managment for healing, only 5 energy from shadow refuge
-some team support
-and frankly you would seem like a beast

P.S. Yes i know i didn't make a build, so what this is the assassin forum for all things assassin related or to be related, not just builds

Yes, I think some tactics skills were designed to compliment an assassin. For ex. Victory is Mine! can net you a lot of health and energy in a condition-heavy build. Of course.. the assassin was never meant to tank well because the warrior could do that better with half of the penalties.

Also, shadow refuge got a boost during FPE. Instead of having 50%..75%(I forgot) chance to evade attacks, you take half damage. So this couples well with survivability. Now all you need are skills that can make you dish out as much damage as you would have recieved.

a/w is noticeably lacking in condition/hex removal... which means warrior hate kills you even faster.

Spiteful+empathy + price of failure+ spirit of failure ...

blind + weakness

snares...

So bring a monk? What do you think intelligent warriors do? Mend their own ailments?

Stolen shamelessly from another build, most assassins will have some sort of condition. Bleeding, for instance, is very common. So pack Signet Of Malice.

From the OT, I think A/W is indeed nice, if you can bring yourself a monk whenever you can, it can be lovely indeed, but for PvE, would it worth the exchange for a A/Mo with skills such as Live Vic for example, in a slightly more day to day situation where you can not call a monk whenever you can.

So far from my experience, NPC monks seems to be only heal, I have not seen them cure, or remove condictions, remove hex etc.

Signet of malice is great though check it out:

For each condition suffered by target foe, you lose one condition.

Energy Cost: None.

Activation Time: 1 Second.

Recharge Time: 8 Seconds.

Linked Attribute: None.

Skill Type: Signet.

Just pile on the conditions and before you kill them use this
